Beautiful
dogs from the north of Scotland
I
have been breeding dogs for over 40 years. I started with
Yorkshire Terriers. About twenty years ago I changed to
Maltese which, in my opinion, cannot be beaten for
temperament and beauty. They are dogs for every occasion.
Take them for long walks and they love it. If the
weather's bad they stay happily at home. Ours like
nothing better than going for a ride in the car. Their
motto is: if there's nothing much happening we might as
well have a sleep. They are easy to feed, and are not, in
general, fussy about their food.
It is a fairly high maintenance breed. To keep them at
show standard is a lot of work. Even to keep as pets they
need grooming at least every other day. This is not the
chore it could be because they are small, and soon get
used to being groomed.
I also have a Japanese Chin. This an easy breed to keep.
They do not require grooming nearly so often. They are
handsome and charming dogs, but not as effusively
friendly as Maltese. They have the endearing habit of
talking to you when excited.
I am very careful to find good homes for my dogs. Being
small they are not suitable as pets for young children.
They also need an outside area where there is no fear of
their getting out.
I only have a few litters a year. If you are interested
in either of these lovely breeds please send me an email
using the contact form. I will keep the Puppy News page
.
